Scott Riggle’s Story

Scott Riggle came to DePauw in the summer of 2000 as the head women’s tennis coach before being named the men’s tennis head coach in 2009. In 13 seasons as the women’s head coach, Riggle’s teams have compiled a 233-95 record, while the men are 60-38 in four years.


He’s directed the women to the 2012 and 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference championships in their first two years in the league, while the men were third in 2012 and runners-up in 2013. Riggle was named the NCAC Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year in 2013.



Riggle has enjoyed success as a player as well, finishing 1996 and 1998 as the top-ranked men’s singles player in the Central Indiana Tennis Association. He finished 2002 ranked first in 35 and over doubles in Central Indiana.
